NFL – Week 11 Early Money Moves
Early money moving in on Indy has bumped the line from -4 to -5.5 at Cincy. The only other significant move has been the total on Miami at Cleveland from 34 to 36.
Karma Strikes Back
Even our very meager, and I stress meager, wages on the Ohio games, couldn’t keep us watching bad mid-major conference football on a Tuesday night. Luckily TBS came through with Sex in the City reruns and kept our mind off a double loss and giving back some of the money we shouldn’t have won on Monday [technically, the Bowling Green/Miami (Ohio) game wasn't finished at the time of this post, but barring a miracle run, a loss will be on the books].
Chalk it up to the first installment of “Win Riches Beyond Your Wildest Dreams by Betting Against The Kings Of Vegas.” In bookstores near you soon. One day we may even get to be as famous as Brandon Lane/Lang/Link/Whatever and get a movie made about us.
Ohio Fight Night
The battle for the MAC Championship game bid possibly ends tonight with Bowling Green traveling to Miami (Ohio). Both teams are tied for the lead in the MAC-East with two games to play. The team that wins out takes the crown.
Bowling Green can’t cover on the road this season, so our money is on Miami (Ohio) even with the big number.
Take Miami (Ohio) -9.5
The second game on the card is between the two teams currently tied for second place (one game back) in the MAC-East, Ohio at Akron. There were a lot of questions about what Frank Solich could do with the Bobcats, but wins in their final two games will make them bowl eligible and if our math is correct, give them the MAC-East lead assuming Miami (Ohio) wins tonight [Ohio faces Miami (Ohio) next week]. The Zips have the edge on paper, but we are going with coaching.
Take Ohio +3 in a straight up win
The art of the backdoor cover
Hey, thanks Donovan for your 4th quarter collapse. I was about to turn off the tv and give up on our little Dallas +3 wager when lo and behold Bledsoe engineers a 4 play – 72 yard drive for a touchdown and Roy Williams picks off a McNabb pass – that should have never been thrown – and runs it back for a touchdown.
Ugly. But its money and we’ll take the green anyday.
