Las Vegas Bowl
Bah, Humbug. The Miner’s didn’t show up last night in the GMAC bowl. We lost and are now 1-1 on the bowl season.
BYU v. Cal in the Las Vegas Bowl. What can you say, BYU is outclassed in athletic ability.
Take Cal -8
GMAC Bowl
UTEP v. Toledo. Two teams which jump off the board as yawners from their respective conferences. The MAC is 4-0 in the GMAC Bowl, but UTEP has headcoach Mike Price. Anyone who can lose his job (at Alabama) due to booze and strippers before ever coaching a game is guy we like. Not to mention the Miners had a string of dismal 2 win seasons before he took over last year. The result with Price at the helm: 2 straight bowl appearances and a 16-7 record thus far.
Mighty impressive. Impressive enough to break the MAC’s hold on the GMAC title.
Take UTEP +3 in a straight-up win.
New Orleans Bowl
We took it on the chin last night. We’ve always said you can’t handicap injuries and the Packers suffered 4 in the first half. Besides that, Favre looked like crap chucking the ball with a wing and a prayer.
New Orleans Bowl on tap for tonight. Two backdoor bowl-eligible teams fighting for honor. Southern Miss is getting way too many points for a game that should be a defensive battle.
Take Arkansas State +16
MNF: Green Bay at Baltimore
Psst, hey buddy. Want to make some money.
We’re perfect on Monday night (6-0 since we started), but this is just another dismal game like last week’s matchup. This may be Favre’s last Monday Night Game and we expect a bit of a show. Baltimore? blah.
Take Green Bay getting the 3/3.5 and tell everyone where you got your free money.
Sunday NFL: Dallas at Washington
Revenge.
No need to spell it out any other way. Dallas was shell-shocked in the final 3 minutes in their previous contest this year, but until those last 3 minutes, they absolutely dominated the ‘skins.
You can bet the Big Tuna won’t let the same thing happen.
Take Dallas +2.5. This game will be a straight-up Cowboy win and we wouldn’t be surprised by a blowout (sorry Gill).
P.S. It was a quiet week for us this week, but you may have noticed we won our 6th straight MNF wager, pushing us to 6-0 since we founded KingsOfVegas.com.
More Crappy Monday Night Football: New Orleans at Atlanta
This doesn’t even venture into watchable MNF territory tonight. The battered and beaten Saints at the playing-themselves-out-of-contention Falcons.
Between the two, both went over 30 in a 3-point game earlier in the season, but since then, the Saints ability to score has gone downhill and the Falcon defense has gotten in the way of victory. 10.5 is a lot of points, but our advice for tonight. Stay away!
If you need to wager, keep it way smaller than normal and put it on the Birds. We’re 5-0 on Monday Night Football since we started the site so we owe you the pick, but keep in mind, we’ve halved our wager tonight.
Take Atlanta -10.5

Kings Of Vegas? We should have called ourselves Kings of Green
Yep, Kings Of Green. Another win on Monday Night Football, running our record to 5-0 since we started this site.
Frankly, we don’t have a clue as to why some people were pushing towards Philly last night as they just didn’t have the ability to compete. Some will argue that had the Seahawk defense played their normal selves this came would have been a different story because Seattle’s offense was pretty much stopped the rest of the game. Maybe so, but then the Seahawk offense wouldn’t have gone conservative midway through the second quarter and they likely would have continued to put together drives like their opening possesion.
Besides, football is give and take. When the offense is slacking the D better pick it up and vice versa. Rarely will you have a one-sided team do it successfully (well, the Bears this year are the exception and to an extent, the Steelers of last year).
Philly just doesn’t have the bodies to fill the injuries and inactives successfully. That is the bottom line, and that is why we are 5-0.
Now about our dismal college record…
MNF – Battle of the Birds
Blah. The latest in a string of crappy MNF games as we head towards the final stretch.
Tonight, the Great Reggie White gets his posthumous celebration at the Linc. Unfortunately, that will be the highlight of night for Philly.
Seahawks soar, Eagles snore.
Take the Seahawks -3.5 and bing, you’ll have 5 straight wins on Monday from KingsOfVegas.com, boyeee.
New Year’s in Vegas
From VegasTripping.com
Combine Las Vegas and New Year’s Eve and there will be about as much subtlety as there were clothes on the showgirls that flanked Mayor Oscar Goodman on Thursday.
This year’s party, which will also end the city’s centennial celebration, will attempt to out-Vegas what has been an over-the-top annual event since 2001.
Officials promise a bigger and better fireworks show, as well as a goal of getting 12,000 people to simultaneously toast in 2006 together.
It’s been a few years since we moved away from Vegas, but we still get back several times a year, with New Year’s Eve about an every-other-year trip. Do yourself a favor and book Vegas for New Years at least once in your lifetime.
