What Up, Player

Fans of HBO’s hit series, Entourage, should be happy to hear that filming for season 3 breaks this weekend. No official word on broadcast dates, but reliable sources have told us to expect end of June/early July.

What does this have to do with Vegas? Palms has an Entourage Suite going for $2,500 during the week, $3,500 on the weekend.

Vegas Condo Market Cools Down

Looking for a condo in Vegas? Good news on that front as interest rates, lack of construction crews and overbuilding are cooling down the Vegas condo market.

Even George Clooney’s Las Ramblas is scaling back plans. Messages left by KingsOfVegas.com inquiring on what has changed have not been returned.

From Time.com

Now that several high rollers in the Las Vegas condo-hotel game, with properties linked to the likes of Michael Jordan and Ivana Trump, are either folding or selling their holdings, a growing number of players are losing their taste for big bets on high-rise residential real estate development.

Over the past two years, as high-rise fever spread across town, prices for the luxury apartments ballooned, fetching as much as $500 to $1,000 a square foot—or up to $1.5 million for a one-bedroom— at the peak. Buyers, mostly interested in flipping them for quick profits, eagerly anted up five-figure down payments, while developers planned more than 70 luxury towers holding a total of about 43,000 units on or near the Strip and downtown. But the intense competition for the city’s limited supply of contractors sent construction costs skyrocketing 30% last year, just as lending policies tightened, interest rates climbed and sales started to slow.

Vegas Restaurants for the Foodie

KingsOfVegas.com reader Mike B inquired about some dining recommendations for his trip this way with his wife - an avid Foodie. The only catch was that they prefer locations on the Strip.

We’re down with FatBurger, but while out of our element with the Foodie crowd, we managed to compile a short list - from our past dining experiences - for his needs:
Delmonico (Venetian)
Bouchon (Ventian)
Emeril’s (MGM)
Bradley Ogden (Caesars)
Mesa Grill (Caesars)
Le Cirque (Bellagio)
Andre’s (Monte Carlo)
Alize (Palms)
Aureole (Mandalay Bay)
The Steakhouse (Circus Circus)
Il Fornaio (New York-New York)
Shanghai Lilly (Mandalay Bay)

Any other recommendations out there from our readers? Hit the comments.

NFL Week 2 Playoff Action: Carolina at Chicago

All four games this weekend were rematches of regular season games. As such, the one team we think can learn the best from their previous match up is Carolina.

Defense is all Chicago has and da’Bears will be lucky to put up 14 on the board. for Carolina, Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith will light up the skies over the city that starts with a C, ends with an O, and has hicag in the middle.

We say: Take Carolina +3 and if we take stack some Green from Pittsburgh, we’ll likely float the profit on the OVER at 30.5

NFL Week 2 Playoff Action: Pittsburgh at Indy

A 2-0 Saturday brings us to Sunday.

With Pittsburgh visiting Indy, the public is looking at their last match up as a barometer for this game. Big Ben was just getting back, and the Colts were relishing the home field for Monday Night. Pittsburgh is playing some inspired ball right now and Momentum would seem to be on their side.

But then again, Indy - in games that mattered - were never so much as even threatened this season.

This game is a tough call for us so we’re lightening the wager by a bit and go against the public.

We say: Take Pittsburgh +10

NFL Week 2 Playoff Action: New England at Denver

In the nightcap, New England visits Denver for a rematch of the Denver 28-23 victory.

Frankly, the previous final doesn’t tell the whole story and most people are missing that. Denver was up 28-3 in the 3rd before they put the engine on cruise control. Sure New England was a different team back then, but Denver at home only giving the 3. Bank it baby.

We say: Take Denver -3.

NFL Week 2 Playoff Action: Washington at Seattle

Washington at Seattle
What can you say about the ’skins. Quite the turnaround for Joe Gibbs and Washington fans are relishing in the glory. But Seattle has Mr. Touchdown, Shaun Alexander.

Sorry Skinnies, but we like Seattle. Injuries are catching up and Seattle is just too strong in the red zone.

We say: Take Seattle -9.5

Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan

The bodybuilding murder drama that has continued to grip those in the ‘industry’ is moving heavily into the mainstream.

We are just humble gamblers who with no ties to the ‘industry’ other than a few cardio sessions here and there to fight the losing battle against alcohol and drug chocolate donut binges, but the story is rather intriguing.

So, since we keep getting a ton of search engine traffic, we point you to the Craig Titus & Kelly Ryan Investigation Blog who we should also point out were kind enough to give us a shout a while back. Start a fresh cycle of Deca and head on over for all the juicy details (we apologize for the poor attempt at humor).

Poker Fad seems to be dying

Signs are pointing to the cooling off of the Poker ‘fad.’ And we say it’s about freakin’ time. Maybe we can get back to having a decent game again amongst friends.

From MSNBC:

The worldwide poker industry appears to have hit every possible inside straight, long-shot flush and unlikely full house that it could, accumulating a large pot of cash in the process.

But as the holiday season nears an end, the industry’s luck seems to be running out as boxed sets of cards and chips are discounted, ratings fade for some poker-themed television shows and shares of a poker-linked stock slump.
